Alas! Stepped into United Stated of America through NewYork City. Neil Armstrong would have the same feeling as mine, when he stepped on the moon. JFK International Airport looked literally huge, with flights continuosly landing and taking off one behind the other restlessly! Cleared the immigration and border security checks, where they REALLY allowed me to stay in US for next 6months!! You will know this is THE check point to decide whether you can enter into US or not. You will feel for sure that VISA is just a hall ticket kind of stuff to undergo this immigration checks. Collected the baggages and took a train inside the airport to domestic terminal to board the next flight to SFO. A short 2 to 3 mins trip. I felt the odour of US. Everywhere and everything looked clean, neat and disciplined. I wish I could see such India sooner!
Again got 3 hrs of transit time in NY, half of which went in these security checks and boarding to the next flight. It's already 6 PM, need to board the flight to SFO at 7PM. Finally got some time to catchup some friends in US and checked the possibility of meeting them. After chatting for some time with them and I found its time for the next flight. Signed them off and boarded American Airlines to SFO. Last flight for the day with 6hrs of journey! Journey continues from east coast to west coast of US.
