Share Your Mouse and Keyboard

Here is a quick way to share your keyboard and mouse between the systems you are working with. Also, you get a common text clipboard so that you can easily share the texts between the systems.

Linux Configuration:

section: screens master_system: slave_system: end section: links master_system: right = slave_system slave_system: left = master_system end

Note: You might miss the ':' after the screen names in the 'section' part.

Starting in Linux: (As Master)
synergys --config <conf_path>/synergy.conf

Starting in Linux: (As Slave)
synergyc --config <conf_path>/synergy.conf

Starting this way in Linux will run Synergy in silent mode, so that you don't get any logs in the terminal to debug. You can always turn the verbose on while starting the server just with '--debug <level>' option. Make sure you start the Synergy as root user in Linux.

Configure Windows as Slave

After Configuring in Windows, just click on "Test" Button to confirm whether the setup is working properly or not. Set the log level accordingly to debug the error. Once you confirm its working fine, close the test and just start synergy.
